Mission

The aim of the Förder- und Freundeskreis für den Ausbau der Lasertechnologie an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FFL e.V) is to ideally support and extend research, teaching and technology transfer in the field of laser technology by the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg as well as correspondent independent research institutes.

Intermediary between research, development and application

Especially the small and medium-sized businesses in the region surrounding Erlangen should gain access to the powerful, highly dynamic and flexible tool laser through the activities of the FFL e.V.. A key element in the work of the FFL e.V. is the support of young academics and innovative ideas in the range of photonic technologies. For example, the FFL e.V. facilitates the technical equipment of the individual research institutions in order to ensure ideal working conditions for students.
