We are very happy that in 2018 ‘The International Academy for Production Engineering’ (CIRP) accepted LANE as a CIRP conference. As a consequence, LANE not only got a new name, but also the review procedure for scientific LANE contributions was intensified. Since then, accepted scientific contributions are published as a special issue of Elsevier’s open access journal ‘Procedia CIRP’.

CIRP is the world leading organization in production engineering research and is at the forefront of design, optimization, control and management of processes, machines and systems. The Academy has restricted membership based on demonstrated excellence in research and has some 600 worldwide academic and industrial members.
